ATA: FAA Looking into WiFi Interference with Avionics

Aviation regulators are taking a “hard look” at in-flight Wi-Fi systems after reports of electromagnetic interference causing some avionics to go blank. The blanking problem was discovered on one particular display unit while certifying one specific high-speed Internet system, and FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt says his agency is conducting a thorough review although the problem “seems to have been an isolated incident.” FlightGlobal.com
