Garmin discontinues GPSMAP 496/495

GPSMAP 496, 495, 96 to be Discontinued, Existing stock may last through 1st Quarter 2011  Due to limited supply of the GPSMAP 496, 495, and 96, they will be discontinued at the end of 2010. While stock of the GPSMAP 96 is expected to last until September 2011, the 496 and 495 are only expected to last through  the 1st quarter of 2011. Any future sales orders pending for these products sould be placed immediately to ensure adequate fulfillment. Because of a number of discontinued parts from our suppliers, Garmin is unable to extend the life of these products. However, sufficient parts have been purchased to ensure an adequate amount of repair and support for the years to come.
