Panel wants money for new ATC systems

AOPA:   A federal panel has suggested that the government invest in equipping airplane cockpits for the next generation of air traffic control systems. The Future of Aviation Advisory Committee also suggested a study on aviation taxes. These were just a few of the many recommendations offered by the committee. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said he plans by mid-February to come up with a timetable for implementing the panel’s recommendations. Bloomberg
